1) Spicy crab avocado toast

Toast a slice of farmhouse white loaf bread and spread it with half of one mashed

avocado with lime juice, salt, and seasoning. Top your toast with white crab meat,

lime juice, chopped red chili, and coriander (“Easy Avocado on Toast

2) Smoked salmon avocado toast

Top your avocado toast with smoked salmon, lemon, mint, chili, and tomato

dressing. Additionally, add black pepper, chives, and enjoy (“Easy Avocado on

3) Avocado marmite dippers

Use seeded wholemeal toasted slices and spread them with butter and marmite.

Mash half of an avocado with sea salt, and spread on both of the toast slices

equally. Slice them into long slices, and enjoy with soft-boiled eggs for dipping

4) Cottage cheese avocado toast

This version of an avocado toast is “Heart-Check Certified” (“American Heart

Association,” n.d.).

First, toast slices of whole-wheat bread. Then top them with cottage cheese and

avocado slices. Finally, season it with chipotle chili powder, and you are done!

5) Italian Caprese avocado toast

Topping the avocado toast with the ingredients of the Caprese salad can be very

quick and easy (“American Heart Association,” n.d.).

Spread your toast with mashed avocado, basil, and pepper. Top with halved cherry

tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Drizzle it with half a teaspoon of vinegar, and

decorate it with basil leaves.

Match the toppings with the type of bread for your toast

If you are using avocado mixed with tomatoes, chili, and coriander, then try bread

types that have stronger tastes, such as sourdough and rye bread (“Easy Avocado on

Toast Recipes,”2021). On the other hand, if the toppings include smoked salmon, then

using seeded bagels is a better idea. For toppings like bacon and chorizo,

walnut, whole meal, or cornbread.

Pick the avocado type you like

There are a variety of avocadoes you can use for your toasts, but the most common

type which you can find in almost all the supermarkets is the Hass avocado (“Easy

Avocado on Toast Recipes,”2021). Other types of avocadoes can have different

colors, shapes, and sizes. Despite the type that you decide to choose, pick the riper

avocadoes as they are great for a toast.

Toasting may sound easy but some bread types need more time to be properly toasted

through two toasting cycles because it’s made with whole grains.
